A few months ago, in a heartfelt interview with PEOPLE, Megan Thee Stallion said, “As somebody who has had some very dark thoughts… at some of the worst times in my life…”

The popular six time Grammy winner added, “I just felt like I had a few good people around me who made me feel loved, who made me feel heard, who made me feel like they cared…”

Megan Thee Stallion continued, “Even when I felt like I was being difficult, when I felt like, ‘Oh, I’m such a burden. I don’t even feel like talking about this to anybody. It would just be better if life was just one way. Life would be better without me.’ “

The last few years have been incredibly difficult for Megan Thee Stallion. In 2019, her mother unfortunately passed away due to a brain tumor and this had a huge negative impact on her mental health.

After losing her father at a pretty young age, Megan Thee Stallion’s world revolved around her mother until her tragic death.

A few months after her mother’s unfortunate death, Megan Thee Stallion was shot by her long time friend Tory Lanez, which also resulted in a prolonged lawsuit which is still ongoing.

Amid this, the six time Grammy winner went public with how she was struggling with her mental health and was in “depression” for a few years.

However, things changed last year when Megan Thee Stallion unexpectedly fell deeply in love with the Dallas Mavericks’ star player, Klay Thompson.

Both of them seem deeply in love with each other and are pretty serious about their high profile relationship.

While there are rumors of the two buying a house together, nothing has been confirmed yet.
