Giannis Antetokounmpo on his All-Star selection
Antetokounmpo has been on a splendid run. He earned his 10th consecutive NBA All-Star Game selection and start, the longest active streak in the league.
In his 13th season, he is averaging 28.8 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game while shooting a career-high 64.7 percent from the field through 27 games. Earlier this season, he surpassed 21,000 career points, becoming the sixth-youngest player in NBA history to reach that mark and the third-youngest to do so with a single franchise.
Reflecting on the achievement, Antetokounmpo said, "If I probably told myself when I was young, that’d be 10 times All-Star, I probably would not believe it." He later added, "I kind of took that and installed it in my heart, I never said it publicly, but one of my goals as a player was to be a 10-time All-Star, and I’m very happy that I accomplished it."
Fans expect Giannis’ standout performance in the All-Star event, and certainly, a healthy Greek Freak can deliver great production.
