Lakers legend LeBron James shuts down Toronto Raptors’ Ochai Agbaji with jaw-dropping block
LeBron James made an impressive defensive play over Toronto Raptors’ guard Ochai Agbaji during the Lakers’ recent 110-93 win on Sunday night's game over the Raptors. Despite moving closer to the final stages of his NBA career, the 41-year-old is making his presence felt on the court. He works smart rather than fast, choosing the right moments to step in on the court, making significant assists and steals, while having an impact on his opponents.
Ochai Agbaji has been doing exceptionally well this season. Agbaji entered the big league in 2022, after he was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA’s 2022 Draft, before he was traded to the Utah Jazz, even before playing his first season with the Cavaliers. However, in the recent Lakers vs Raptors game, the Lakers legend LeBron James, showed his powerful defense against Agbaji, early in the very first half of the game.
The moment came when Agbaji went for an easy shot, however, not knowing that James was right behind him and blocked the shot at just the perfect timing. James delivered a strong performance in the first half, leading the Lakers to dominate the Raptors with a strong 55-55 game.
Los Angeles started the game very slowly on defense, with 30-23 play after the first quarter. Only three players could reach double figures before halftime - Luka Doncic leading with 18 points, followed by LeBron James with 13 points, and then DeAndre Ayton, who scored 12 points. Off the bench, Gabe Vincent contributed five points.
Following this game against the Toronto Raptors, the Lakers are turning their attention to what comes next, as they are heading out for a game against the Denver Nuggets on January 20, with the game starting at 10 p.m. ET.
