Natalia Bryant honors Kobe and Gianna with heartfelt tribute on 6th death anniversary

It has been six years since the world stood still at the news of the helicopter crash that claimed the lives of NBA legend Kobe Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna “Gigi” Bryant, and seven others. This Monday, on January 26, 2026, the sports world stood still alongside the Bryant family and paused once again to remember their legacy.

Natalia Bryant, Kobe and Vanessa's eldest, took to her Instagram stories to post a heartfelt tribute on the anniversary. The 23-year-old USC alumna shared a picture of her father and Gigi, paired with a single red heart emoji, a small but deeply affectionate sign of remembrance. The image's simplicity, devoid of any additional text, conveyed a powerful message, mirroring the quiet resilience the Bryant family has shown since the tragic loss in 2020.

A legacy beyond the basketball court

While the Los Angeles Lakers and the NBA celebrated the "Black Mamba" for his five championships and relentless drive, Natalia’s tribute focused on the man behind the jersey. In recent years, Natalia has balanced her burgeoning career in the fashion and film industries with her role as a torchbearer for her father’s mission. Carter, who entered the league in the same era as Kobe, wrote on social media, "Rest easy Kobe Bean and Gigi the world truly misses you both..." followed by a handshake emoji. He also shared a photo of all 9 people who lost their lives that day in 2020.
