NEW DELHI: The Detroit Pistons secured an impressive 118-102 victory over the Chicago Bulls, despite a career-high 51-point performance by Zach LaVine. The win marked the end of a 15-game losing streak for the Pistons against the Bulls.

Jalen Duren led the Pistons with a double-double, contributing 23 points and 15 rebounds. Cade Cunningham added 25 points and 10 assists, while Alec Burks came off the bench to provide 18 points.

LaVine's incredible 51-point effort was the first 50-point game of the NBA season. However, despite his impressive performance, the Bulls couldn't secure the win. LaVine's 51 points made him the first Bulls player with 50 points and no assists since Michael Jordan did it in 1996.

Rookie Ausar Thompson made significant contributions for the Pistons, scoring nine points, grabbing 12 rebounds, and providing five assists. He also played a key role in limiting LaVine to just two points in the final eight minutes of the game.

The Pistons displayed excellent shooting, finishing the game with a 60.5% shooting percentage, while also outscoring the Bulls 25-12 in bench points.

Duren's double-double marked the 22nd of his career and broke a tie with LeBron James for the third-most double-doubles by a teenager in NBA/ABA history. Moses Malone holds the record with 50 double-doubles, followed by Dwight Howard with 46.

The Pistons' win over the Bulls was a significant milestone, ending a lengthy losing streak and showcasing the young talent on their roster, with players like Duren and Cunningham playing crucial roles in the victory.
