The six time Grammy winner added, “First, there were conspiracy theories that I was never shot. Then came the false narratives that my former best friend shot me. Even some of my peers in the music industry piled on with memes, jokes, and sneak disses, and completely ignored the fact that I could have lost my life.”

The “Something for the Hotties” artist added, “Instead of condemning any form of violence against a woman, these individuals tried to justify my attacker’s actions.”

For the unversed, in 2020, Megan Thee Stallion accused her former friend, Tory Lanez, of shooting her in the feet.

But the case was a complicated one as many fans and friends of Megan Thee Stallion refused to believe her ordeal and accused her of lying about the horrifying incident.

Later, in 2022, Tory Lanez was served a 10 year prison sentence and more recently, California appeals court and the state Supreme Court rejected his appeals in early 2026, upholding his conviction on charges of assault, carrying a loaded firearm, and gross negligence.

Throughout all the mess, Megan Thee Stallion has been vocal about the pain and heartbreak it caused her as she saw many of her peers turning against her.

However, things changed for the better in Megan Thee Stallion’s life last year when she fell deeply in love with Klay Thompson.
