The Los Angeles Lakers face challenges in the 2024-25 season. A h... Read More
This is going to be a physically harsh and metaphorical beating for the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2024-25 season. The Lakers have not played consistently not only due to a series of irregularities and delays which has led to more games on the road than games at home. This has greatly affected the squad due to what one might describe as a logistical loss where The Lakers have had to play 13 games away from home while there have only been 11 home games.

Seven of the ten games on the schedule were played on the road and after 14 road games only Dallas Mavericks and the Denver Nuggets have more such matchups in the Western Conference. Dalton Knecht recently opined on the situation stating his thoughts.

Dalton Knecht Unveils Lakers’ Biggest Roadblock: The Road Itself?

As per Silver Screen and Roll, Knecht recently spoke his mind regarding the recent losses and the hectic travel, which is impacting their flow after the team’s home win against the Blazers. He said, “I think it definitely, not having all these home games kind of affected us. But also, at the same time, we should have won some games that we lost. So at the end of the day, we just got to keep going out there and watching our film and trying to get better and learn.”

Young promising rookie, Dalton Knecht though promising has also been dragged down by poor results the team has recorded of late in away fixtures. While he's shown flashes of brilliance, his impact has been somewhat muted away from home. However, his recent performance against the Blazers, where he dominated the boards, offers a glimmer of hope.

The Lakers are now home, resting during the NBA Cup vacation. This respite gives them a golden chance to plan again, rest, and even take some serious time to reflect on things. The upcoming game away to the Wolves will be a strong test of character for them. Is there a possibility that they can bounce back and disprove all that was said and written about them during the first part of the season?

Only time will tell.

Do you recall the moment when Dalton Knecht delivered 37 points against the Utah Jazz?

Yes, that was wild. The rookie was a subject of attention on this night and LeBron James who never misses talents on the floor couldn’t help but commend him. “Same s*** I saw last year,” James recalled, speaking to his early identification of Knecht’s talents. (via My Khel)

When it comes to facing the season events, the Lakers, of course, would count on their young ballers like Knecht to rise high. The Lakers’ blend of NBA veterans and young-spirited players are favored to make a serious bid for playoffs.
