A few months ago, in a heartfelt interview with PEOPLE, Stephen Curry shared that he had a pretty emotional conversation with Ayesha Curry when he was being drafted in the league.

At that point, the four time NBA champion could either drop out of college or let go of his NBA dreams. While Ayesha Curry advised him to continue his education, Stephen Curry ultimately decided to drop out.

Stephen Curry recalled this as he said, “That conversation and the emotions that I got to share really just established the fact that she was gonna be my biggest supporter no matter what I did…”

The four time NBA champion added, “And, you know, the idea that we’ve been through so many experiences throughout the years, I can go back to that foundation of support and being able to lean on each other through that conversation.”
