“What can I afford if all this goes away?”: Dwyane Wade’s wife Gabrielle Union breaks silence on why she refuses to flaunt her wealth

A couple of years ago, in an interview with Elle Canada, Dwyane Wade’s wife, popular actress Gabrielle Union, opened up about her finances.



The “Being Mary Jane” actress said, “From my first job, I’ve functioned like each job is my last. What can I afford if all this goes away?”

Gabrielle Union added, “So I don’t buy anything unless I can maintain it. Being penniless is way scarier than not having the right car.”

The renowned actress continued, “It’s L.A., we’re in traffic. Who’s seeing your car?”

Gabrielle Union added, “I don’t believe anyone should put themselves in a financial bind to be something for other people who don’t care about them. Your barometer should be ‘Don’t try to impress people who wouldn’t give you a kidney.’”

Over the last couple of years, Gabrielle Union has been public about how she has been intentional with her choices in films because of the financial aspect attached to it.

The popular actress has spoken about how she has let go of many independent projects because of the finances, since she is responsible for financially providing for her extended family.

As of now, both Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade lead pretty lavish lives as she deals with the recent loss of her father after his brutal fight against dementia.
