NEW DELHI, August 22: Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bat first against South Africa in the first ODI on Wednesday at Queens Sports Club at Bulwayo in Zimbabwe.
Currently batting, the Zimbabweans have scored 130 runs for the loss of seven wickets at the end of 39 overs. Tatenda Taibu, perhaps the only world-class batsman in the line-up, scored 22 runs for the hosts.
As of now, all-rounder Vernon Philander has taken two wickets, while Shaun Pollock and Morne Morkel have taken a wicket each for the Proteas.
