NEW DELHI, July 26: In the last league match of the triangular series in Colombo, the India U-19 beat Bangladesh by 129 runs.
Electing to bat, India put up 264 for 8 off 50 overs. After the rain interrupted match for an hour, the target was revised to 211 runs from 29 overs. Bangladesh could only manage 82/7 in reply.
Tamil Nadu opening batsman Abhinav Mukund made up for the botched performance in the previous three league matches by hitting 80 runs off 110 balls.

He was sent one down instead of his usual opening position. "He had failed in the opening position till now hence I sent him one down so that he could get his confidence back against an older ball. Mukund will be reverted to the opening position for the final," said coach Lalchand Rajput from Colombo.
And that’s exactly how it worked out. Openers Harshad Khadiwale and Shreevats Goswami struck an opening partnership of 40 runs. But then India collapsed to 40/2 before Mukund and Virat Kohli had a 48-run alliance for the third wicket. In the last four overs Ravindra Jadeja (40) and Manish Pandey (36) smacked 37 runs. India will play Bangladesh in the final on July 28, who they have beaten in both the league matches without breaking a sweat.
