BANGALORE: Former Indian cricket captains Anil Kumble and Sourav Ganguly will head an expert panel of master coaches during their 10-day specialists skill coaching clinic, starting at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) on Tuesday.
The courses would be attended by qualified level-two and level-three coaches from all states, Dav Whatmore director of operations, said in a statement on Monday.
Other master coaches to take part include Robin Singh, Saba Karim, Venkatesh Prasad, Laxman Sivaramakrishnan and Venkatapathy Raju.
The master coaches would be supported by Dav Whatmore, B Arun, Dinesh Nanavaty and R Sridhar. They would oversee various cricket skills supplemented by Dr Kinjal Suratwala (Nutrition, Psychology) and Paul Chapman (fitness).
Noted Australian biomechanist, Dr Rene Ferdinandes would anchor the courses, the statement said.
The initiative is in line with BCCI's mandate that all states should establish their own academies by April 30 and ensure they were headed up by highly skilled personnel.
