Gopal's all-round show drives Swastic Union

BANGALORE: A commanding all-round show by Shreyas Gopal (159 not out and 5 for 56) helped Swastic Union Cricket Club (1) take a first innings lead and collect three points in its ultimately drawn game against Bangalore Occassionals in their two-day KSCA first division (Group I) league for Mirza Ismail Shield in Bangalore recently.
Gopal played an aggressive knock that was studded with 14 boundaries.Besides Gopal, Karan Rao too scored a hundred as Swastic posted a commanding 435 runs, losing four wickets in 90 overs.
Alongside Gopal, Swastic rode on leg-spinner Udit Patel's five for 49 to bowl out Bangalore Occassionals for 207 and snatch a first innings lead of 228 runs.
