CHANDIGARH, November 19: It may be unthinkable for fans to have access to top cricketers, but with Indian Cricket League's Twenty20 event the scene appears to be completely different.
To ensure the success of its inaugural tournament which starts from November 30 in Panchkula, ICL is leaving no stone unturned to publicise the event and allowing cricket buffs the freedom to meet and mingle with their favourite stars.
One of the six teams -- the Chandigarh Lions -- visited different places here and participated in a host of promotional events wherein the cricketers were invited to meet with the fans.
The team members Sarabjit Singh, ex-Pakistani opener Imran Farhat, former India middle-order batsman Dinesh Mongia, H Marshall, TP Singh, former New Zealand all-rounder Chris Cairns, Andrew Hall, Reetinder Singh Sodhi, Rajesh Sharma, Ishant Malhotra, D Tuffey besides others shared some light moments with the cricket enthusiasts at various locations.
The Chandigarh team attended cricket clinics for two days in Panchkula offering valuable tips to the youngsters.
Former New Zealand all-rounder Chris Cairns spend a lot of time giving them tips. The young cricketers were thrilled to be in the company of national and international stars.
