North Zone to meet South Zone in Vizzy Trophy final

AMRITSAR, February 18: North Zone would meet South Zone in the final of Vizzy Trophy to be played from February 20 at the local Gandhi Grounds.
North Zone beat East Zone by an inning and 189 runs while South Zone prevailed over West Zone on the basis of the first innings lead.
East Zone was dismissed for 213 in their second innings with Amit Kumar hitting 45 while Jony Singh contributing 42 runs.
Abhey Ranjan hit 38 while Gaurav Gambhir was the highest wicket-taker for North Zone with four for 66. Arun Kanojia and Rahul Sharma claimed three wickets apiece.
In the other semi-final, M Prabhu hit 51 for South Zone with Gopi Nath scoring 31.
For West Zone, Sanjay Bharti got three wickets while Dinar Gaokar and Vishal Vasoa claimed two each.
