KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board on Wednesday hoped that International Cricket Council would not consider the controversial Australian umpire Darrell Hair for the upcoming Asia Cup to be held here.
"As far as Hair is concerned, I am sure they will not consider his name for the tournament," Chief Operating Officer of PCB Shafqat Naghmi said.

"The Board had made its reservations on Hair's appointment very clear at the ICC meeting in Dubai in which he was reinstated. The ICC is aware of how we feel and hopefully they will keep this in mind for the Asia Cup," Naghmi said.
Hair was reinstated as a Test umpire in March this year by the ICC Executive Board after undergoing a rehabilitation programme.
Pakistan will host the Asia Cup from June 26 to July 6 in Karachi and Lahore. Besides India and Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Hong Kong and UAE are scheduled to participate in the tournament.
