Anonymous NFL Star Complains About Taylor Swift's Game Presence: "She’s Not the NFL"

Ever since Taylor Swift's relationship with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce became public, the pop superstar has been a fixture at NFL games, with cameras often focusing on her during broadcasts. While her presence has generated positive buzz and even boosted TV ratings, not everyone in the league is thrilled with the extra attention Swift is receiving.

Anonymous Player Voices Discontent

In a poll conducted by *The Athletic's* Mike Jones, an anonymous NFL player expressed frustration about the extensive coverage of Swift during games. According to the player:

"I feel like she is getting unnecessary coverage. There was the whole NFL opening season video on Twitter and she was featured five times, and our quarterback was featured none. That's not even right. She is not the NFL."

While this player is clearly not a fan of Swift's spotlight, another participant in the poll seemed indifferent:

"She brings a lot of eyes, so if that increases the salary cap, I don’t think anybody’s gonna be too mad about that one,” one player said.

Is Travis Kelce’s Performance Suffering?

While Swift's presence has caused some debate off the field, questions have also emerged about its impact on Travis Kelce’s performance. Kelce has struggled this season, racking up only 158 receiving yards in four games—far below his usual numbers. Some, like former ESPN analyst Todd Shay, believe the high-profile relationship could be a distraction. Shay commented on *The Ryen Russillo Podcast*:

“Every show I watch, every pregame show, halftime show, postgame show, weekday show, every broadcast I watch for the last few weeks, it’s like, are we not allowed to say that he’s out of shape?"

Kelce Responds to Criticism

Despite the chatter about his stats, Kelce himself isn’t too concerned. On a recent episode of his podcast *New Heights*, he acknowledged his statistical dip but emphasized the bigger picture:

“[I was] struggling in terms of stats. I was still playing winning football, and that’s all that f*** matters."

As the Chiefs remain unbeaten, Kelce will look to bounce back in their next game against the New Orleans Saints on Monday night. Whether Swift will attend remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure—the spotlight will keep shining on this power couple.
