Know those “Few Moments Later” memes? NFL Memes recently used one to share a heartbreaking fact on X. San Francisco 49ers’ most injured players, Christian McCaffrey and Kyle Juszczyk, attended the NBA’s Golden State Warriors vs Miami Heat game at Chase Center in San Francisco.
NFL Memes shared video footage of their jumbotron moment from the courtside seats. They then added the “Few Moments Later” effect for extra flair and showed Warriors small forward Jimmy Butler being carted off by medical staff because of a season-ending ACL tear.
The injury disease hopped off the Niners to the Warriors
Cybercitizens quickly dubbed it “NFL Injury Theory: EM fields from nearby substation causing injuries to San Francisco 49ers.” One said, “CMC transmitting the soul-crushing electromagnetic waves from the 49ers practice facility directly into Jimmy Butler’s knee.”
Another urged, “Someone gotta shut down that way station.” A third supposedly blamed McCaffrey and Juszczyk: “They brought the electricity.”
A fourth speculated, “At this point the players are carriers of electromagnetic energy.” A fifth said, “The Substation has transitive properties.” A user declared, “It’s got to be that practice field electricity! It’s contagious!”
Another said, “They *are* the substation now [crying face emoji].” A third user commented, “The injury disease hopped off the Niners onto the Warriors.”

More injuries since 49ers players moved to Levi’s Stadium in 2014
Peter Cowan, a researcher, recently tweeted: The San Francisco 49ers are statistically the most injured team in the NFL over the past decade.
Since they moved to Levi’s Stadium in 2014, there have been seven to eight full Achilles or patellar ruptures, over 40 major hamstring or calf tears, and high-ankle syndesmosis [ligament] injuries every year.
