NEW DELHI: The Atlanta Falcons have announced the additions of Zac Robinson as their new offensive coordinator and Jimmy Lake as their next defensive coordinator. Both
Robinson and Lake are following Raheem Morris, who was recently named the head coach of the Falcons after serving as the defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams.
Zac Robinson, 37, had been working with Morris in Los Angeles for the past three seasons. He initially joined the Rams as an assistant quarterbacks coach in 2019, later transitioning to assistant receivers coach in 2020, and then returning to assistant quarterbacks coach in 2021. In 2022, Robinson was promoted to passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
Jimmy Lake, 47, served as the head coach at the University of Washington in 2020 and 2021. He joined the Rams as an assistant head coach for the 2023 season, bringing his defensive coaching experience from both the collegiate and
NFL levels.
Additionally, Marquice Williams has been retained as the special teams coordinator for the Falcons. Williams, 38, will enter his fourth season in this role. In the 2021 season, the Falcons had two special teams touchdowns, including one on a blocked punt and a 103-yard kick return by Cordarrelle Patterson.
The Falcons have scheduled Raheem Morris' introductory press conference for February 5, as they continue to shape their coaching staff for the upcoming season.
