Jason Kelce’s Wife Kylie Rejects 'WAG' Tag – Here’s Why She Hates the Label

Kylie Kelce recently opened up about her growing fanbase and the support she has received. However, during her appearance on Call Her Daddy, she made it clear that she does not embrace the "WAG" label, stating, "It has a negative connotation." Despite being in the spotlight, she wants to be recognized for her own identity rather than just as someone’s partner. Her stance reflects a broader conversation about how women in relationships with athletes are often unfairly categorized.

"I don't like it. I don't like it because I think it has a serious negative connotation attached," the Not Gonna Lie podcast host told Alex Cooper.

"I think that it's this suggestion that your spouse's profession swallows you up as well. I have made a serious effort to make sure that ... both Jason and I have made a serious effort to make sure that while he was playing, that it was clear that that was his job," Kylie said.

Kylie added, "In the same way that someone would go to work and come home and not necessarily talk about their entire day. You're filing taxes. You're doing spreadsheets. Like, you're not coming home and telling your spouse about, like, the spreadsheet you worked out."

"It's so funny to me, because it is that stigma," she said. "You're with them because they make a lot of money or you want designer bags or you live in a mansion.

"It's like, no..." Kylie went on. "There have been a number of people who have come to our house and it's like, 'Oh...' Again, not easily offended, I'm like, 'Yep, that's what you get!'"

Kylie shed light on the misconceptions surrounding the term "WAG," emphasizing that it unfairly implies women are with athletes solely for financial security or luxury. Addressing this stereotype, she revealed she has personally had to correct this narrative in her own life. By speaking out, Kylie aims to shift the conversation, highlighting that women in relationships with athletes have their own ambitions and identities beyond the label.
