H2: How Much Do You Know About Ravens RB Derrick Henry? Has He Ever Won The Super Bowl?

In fact, the Ravens GM Eric DeCosta recently applauded Henry’s peak form. “Derrick proved he had a lot left in the tank. We'll look at that... I'm so grateful Derrick chose us last year,” DeCosta said. Henry attended Yulee High School, where he became a standout running back. In his senior year, he broke the Florida high school career rushing record with 4,261 yards and scored an astounding 55 touchdowns. This snagged him the prestigious 2013 Athlete of the Year award from Sports Illustrated. Let’s look at some of his other remarkable accomplishments.

Super Bowl Goals

Henry has never won a Super Bowl much less played in one. However, his desire to win a Super Bowl has been unyielding. In the 2019 season, the Titans managed to reach the AFC Championship game but fell short against the Kansas City Chiefs. Since then, Henry has often talked about the importance of building a championship-caliber team around him. Henry has revealed that he doesn't plan to attend a Super Bowl until he plays in one.

"I haven't been to a Super Bowl since I've been in the league," Henry said in 2022. "Hopefully we can get there and win it next year. That's what we're working for, to win a championship."

Professional Achievements

The 2017 season saw Henry in a key role as he emerged as the Titans' primary running back. However, it was in 2019 that he truly established himself as one of the elite rushers in the league. That year, Henry won the NFL rushing title with 1,540 yards, and gained national attention during the playoffs, where he recorded a playoff franchise-record 182 rushing yards against the New England Patriots and followed it up with 195 yards against the Baltimore Ravens.

In 2020, he became the eighth player in league history to rush for over 2,000 yards in a single season.

Personal Story

Henry's father, Timothy Sr., played college football at Jacksonville University; although Derrick's parents divorced when he was 7 years old, and he was raised by his mother, Daphne. Henry credits his mother for instilling in him the importance of education.
