About a minute or two into a recent episode of “Good Morning Football”, Gehrig Dieter, former Chiefs wide receiver, was giving it no holds barred about Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, now revealed to be "big-time haters" in light of the latest Yankees-Royals-Guardians drama. But this didn't come during some expose about Mahomes, which typically is spotted grinning from ear to ear. Rather, it started with how Mahomes tends to be that way, including his last time talking about wanting the Royals to lose.
Dieter's Disbelief
"Unfortunate," is how Dieter described the situation, in disbelief that Mahomes and Kelce apparently don't really hate the Yankees. He jokingly recalled the pining he felt preparing to FaceTime Kelce as the game intensified. "I like to talk a little bit," he said, laughing, regarding his excitement over the matchup. "These guys are big time haters.". It's a shame the Yanks had to do what they had to do to the Royals. As the game began, Dieter told me he felt the Yankees were going to make a push, and he was more energetic to get connected with Kelce.
