The fashion industry is taking a break and so is Tom Brady's ex-wife Gisele Bundchen. With all the great praise being sung after the death of iconic designer Valentino Garavani, the Brazilian supermodel has sent a very personal farewell that transcends professional praise. This loss is almost heartbreaking to Bundchen, but it comes into a chapter that defined her who she was well before she grew into being a former wife of NFL superstar Tom Brady.
Though the death of Valentino as he was 93 has led to the industry to reflect on the issue, Bundchen has shed light in the words he said through their sincerity and emotional impact. The tribute of hers is not based on nostalgia itself. It shows trust, guidance and silent mercy at the most questionable period of her work. It is that human connection that has resonated so much with the fans of both the fashion and sports culture equally that her message carries such a powerful chord.
Gisele Bündchen honors Valentino Garavani as fans reflect on a timeless fashion Legacy
Gisele Bündchen wrote, “Valentino was a true genius, an artist with a rare sensitivity and grace. I feel incredibly grateful that I had the opportunity to work with him, to know him, and to experience his kindness and generosity firsthand. He was so supportive of my career, and he always made me feel special.”
Long before global superstardom, Bündchen faced repeated rejection. Valentino entered her journey at a moment when belief mattered more than exposure. Their collaboration during the late 1990s helped position her as a rising force in luxury fashion, but what stayed with her was the way he treated her behind the scenes.
“One of my favorite memories will always be the fittings before his shows,” she recalled. “Normally, you’d have time for about four outfit changes, but he would sometimes give me seven. I would always wonder, how am I going to make this happen? And even though I was half disheveled from changing so fast, barely making it and running out of breath every time I stepped back onto the runway, I just wanted to make it happen for him because he was always so excited to have me wear those looks.”
Her farewell closed with quiet grace. “Farewell, Valentino. Thank you for the beauty you brought into the world and for the warmth you gave so freely. You will be deeply missed ❤️.”
Fans echoed that sentiment, not mourning a brand, but honoring a man whose legacy lives on through the people he uplifted.
