“In discussions with every major streaming service”: Travis Kelce explores TV future as NFL decision looms ahead of 2026 offseason

Travis Kelce has reached another crossroads in his career, and this one stretches beyond the football field. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end is still undecided about returning for the 2026 NFL season, but his name continues to surface in serious media conversations across the industry.

As the offseason begins, Kelce has taken a step back from rushing into any call. While fans wait for clarity on his playing future, reports suggest he has quietly kept his post-NFL options open, especially in television and streaming.

Travis Kelce keeps media talks separate from NFL decision

According to a People report, Kelce has been in talks with multiple major streaming platforms and traditional networks for several years. A source told the outlet that those discussions are not tied to whether he decides to return for a 14th NFL season.

“Travis has been in discussions with every major streaming service, including Netflix, and every major network for the past several years,” per a source. The source added that those talks have not influenced his football plans and have existed well before this offseason.
A separate Us Weekly report stated that the star-TE is in discussions with Netflix about a potential role as an exclusive broadcast sports correspondent. The outlet noted that terms are still being finalized and that Netflix declined to comment on the report.

Kelce addressed his uncertain future after the Chiefs’ season ended on January 4, 2026. Speaking to reporters following the loss, he said he planned to take time before making a decision. “I’ve got so much love for this team, this organization, and the people here,” Kelce said. “I’ll spend some time with them, get close to the family, and figure things out.”

The TE echoed that sentiment on the latest episode of the New Heights podcast, which he hosts with his brother Jason Kelce. During the episode, Travis joked about his current routine. “I am officially jobless. Actually, this is my only job,” he said while laughing on the show.

Kelce also admitted that the decision feels tougher than last offseason. On the same podcast episode, he said, “Either it hits me quick, or I gotta take some time. I think last year was a little bit easier.”

For now, Kelce remains noncommittal. Wedding plans with fiancée Taylor Swift and a long offseason give him space to reflect. Whether he lines up for another NFL run or pivots toward a television career, Kelce has made one thing clear. He plans to decide when the timing feels right, with football and the future both firmly in play.
