During the Rams and Dolphins game, commentators poked fun at the ... Read More
The Miami Dolphins defeated the Rams 23-15. It was a good game to have Troy Aikman and Joe Buck on call for ESPN. They almost had to talk about the Cowboys all game because they were joking about them throughout but never mentioned them once. CeeDee Lamb was unable to catch an easy touchdown earlier with the sun in his eyes. NFL fans bashed Jerry Jones for building the stadium that can have the sun stream through windows and blur the eyes of players. Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle had one horrible drop that led to a see-saw from Aikman to Buck.

Troy Aikman’s controversial take on CeeDee Lamb’s missed catch

Dallas Cowboys legend Troy Aikman was one of the controversies concerning CeeDee Lamb's sun mistake at AT&T Stadium. One catch was missed because of a design flaw in the roof, and controversy hit the fans supporting the team. Aikman played the entire career with the Cowboys, and this resulted in a great legacy. Even after the error Lamb clarified the reasons that this was because of the sun hitting his eyes from an opening in the roof in that stadium. Then immediately the excuse given by the star receiver became controversial, in which Aikman unwittingly became part.

Jaylen Waddle missed a catch during the Monday Night Football game between the Miami Dolphins and Los Angeles Rams, claiming the sun blinded him, despite the fact it was a seemingly easy catch. ESPN's analyst, Aikman, immediately noticed the Miami receiver's taunt during the game. "You see Jaylen Waddle saying the lights got in his eyes," Aikman said. Play-by-play commentator Joe Buck immediately exclaimed, "Go ahead, go ahead. It wasn't the sun. It wasn't the sun! I'm gonna leave that one alone. But now the lights are getting in people's eyes. What are you gonna do?”

Former Cowboys OC Kellen Moore also shared his thoughts when asked if the sunlight posed a challenge. "Yeah, in general for everyone, yeah"' he said. Moore noted that stadiums vary in their circumstances, with the sun being a significant factor in Dallas, making certain areas of the field difficult to navigate, particularly during the first quarter.
