Jacksonville Jaguars rookie cornerback Travis Hunter is just the beginning—at least, if you ask his dad. According to Travis Hunter Sr., the family might have a full starting lineup in the works. He says six of his sons are currently playing
football, and at least five of them have what it takes to make it to the
NFL. The comments came during an appearance on the South Florida Boys Show, where Hunter Sr. shared a detailed look at his football-focused family. While most public bios list Travis as the oldest of four siblings, the elder Hunter gave a different version: a packed house full of future stars, with talent spread across high school, middle school, and youth football.
Travis Hunter’s brothers are all playing football and aiming for the league
Travis Hunter Sr. didn’t hold back about his plans—or his confidence. He described the athletic pipeline in detail, starting with Travis, now in the NFL and already a father himself, and extending to the younger brothers grinding their way through Georgia high school and youth football. “Now he got a baby, his wife, and build his own family. That’s what it’s about, anyway. Any one of my boys. It gonna be most. They just see Travis right now, but it’s the most. I got two more in high school right now. There are three in high school right now... I got one in middle school in Georgia... All on play receiver or play corner.” When asked how many sons are actively playing, he replied simply: “Six.”
He even rattled off their ages like a coach reading his roster: 16, 14, 12, 13, and 22. And their goals? Same house, same mindset, same positions—wide receiver or cornerback. “They’re going to be at least five. They’re going to be at least five, I’m telling you. Because all along, they look up to their brother. Now they know if he can do it, they can do it. And he push them like that.”
Trayvis Hunter, the next star, is already drawing major college offers
Right now, the most well-known of Travis’s younger brothers is Trayvis Hunter, a wide receiver in high school who wears No. 12. His game already draws comparisons to his older brother—especially after the catch. Travis is already picking up offers from Jackson State, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Tennessee State, and James Madison University, with more expected. If he starts playing both sides of the ball like Travis did in college, the comparisons will only grow. One program to watch? Jackson State, where Travis once starred. If Trayvis follows his path, the Hunter legacy could get even stronger.
Could the Hunter family make NFL history?
If even five of the six Hunter brothers reach the NFL, they’d break into elite company. Families like the Matthews, Watts, and Gronkowskis have sent multiple siblings to the league, but five from one household would be unprecedented.
