Adofo-Mensah emphatically stated, "That is not something that has ever crossed my mind," when asked about the possibility of trading Jefferson, as reported by The Athletic. Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell echoed the sentiment, asserting that there is no intent to trade the standout wide receiver.

"We have had zero discussions, dialogue about that either internally, externally, on this planet or another planet," O'Connell emphasized. He expressed strong confidence in Jefferson, recognizing him as the best in his position in football. O'Connell emphasized the team's commitment to reaching a long-term deal with Jefferson.

Despite the remarkable talent of Justin Jefferson, who is expected to become the highest-paid wideout in NFL history, the Vikings face challenges, particularly in addressing the quarterback situation with Kirk Cousins becoming a free agent.

Jefferson's outstanding performance on the field includes setting records for the most receiving yards in a player's first four seasons in NFL history (5,899). In 2022, he led the league with 128 receptions for 1,809 yards and eight touchdowns, earning him Offensive Player of the Year honors.

As discussions regarding Jefferson's potential record-breaking deal unfold, Tyreek Hill's contract with an average annual value of $30 million and A.J. Brown's fully guaranteed amount of $56.47 million serve as benchmarks. However, Jefferson's commitment to a long-term deal may hinge on the Vikings' decision at quarterback, adding another layer of complexity to the ongoing negotiations. NFL Media reports that Jefferson is keen on understanding the team's plans at quarterback before committing to a long-term agreement.
