NEW DELHI: Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs is expected to miss the Thursday night game against the Los Angeles Chargers due to a quadriceps injury, as reported by NFL Network. Jacobs, a two-time Pro Bowl selection, has been dealing with the injury and did not practice throughout the week. He was listed as questionable leading up to the game.

In the 2022 season, Jacobs has played in 13 games, accumulating 805 yards rushing and scoring six touchdowns. Additionally, he has contributed in the passing game with 37 receptions for 296 yards. The 25-year-old running back was the NFL rushing champion in 2022, recording 1,653 rushing yards on 340 touches with 12 touchdowns. He led the league with 2,053 total yards from scrimmage.

Since being selected by the Raiders in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Alabama, Jacobs has been a key figure in the team's backfield. In 73 games (72 starts), he has rushed for a total of 5,545 yards and scored 46 touchdowns.

With Jacobs expected to be sidelined, running backs Zamir White and Ameer Abdullah are likely to see increased playing time against the Chargers. The Raiders, with a current record of 5-8, will face the Chargers in a crucial divisional matchup.
