The Kansas City Chiefs have had a challenging time on the field in the last season after losing Super Bowl LX to the Philadelphia Eagles.
As the team ended up missing the playoffs for the first time since 2014, it has sparked major concern. Amid this, the Kansas City Chiefs’ star wide receiver Rashee Rice is now serving jail time for 30 days and is all set to miss the minicamp. He also went through surgery recently and as per ESPN, Rashee Rice, he might be sidelined for two months. Now, popular former New England Patriots’ wide receiver has been linked to the team.
Kansas City Chiefs urged to make a move for former New England Patriots’ wide receiver Stefon Diggs
A few hours ago, as per Sportsnaut’s recent report, popular wide receiver Stefon Diggs could find his place in the Kansas City Chiefs amid Rashee Rice’s mess.
Sportsnaut noted in a recent report, “Stefon Diggs would be a much-needed presence for Patrick Mahomes next season. Diggs is looking for a new home after the Patriots released him due to financial reasons.”
The report added, “The 32-year-old wide receiver is a reliable middle-of-the-field target that would thrive in the Chiefs’ offense. With Diggs looking to win a Super Bowl, this would be the perfect landing spot.”
However, the Kansas City Chiefs are yet to respond to the speculations involving Stefon Diggs as he continues to remain an unrestricted free agent.
The 32 year old wide receiver Stefon Diggs has proven his worth in the last season as he recorded 85 receptions for 1,013 yards and 4 touchdowns across 17 regular season games in the last season.
Stefon Diggs also broke records as he became the first New England Patriots’ receiver since Julian Edelman in 2019 to record at least 1000 receiving yards in a single season.
While Stefon Diggs has expressed his interest in joining the Washington Commanders, nothing has been confirmed yet.
As for Rashee Rice, the Kansas City Chiefs has remained distant from the drama as he remains in Dallas jail until 16th June after he violated his probation and tested positive for THC.
