Ahead of the new season, CBS Sports’ Garrett Podell has predicted that there is a chance that the Washington Commanders’ star player, Bobby Wagner, could end up with the Dallas Cowboys.



A few hours ago, in a recent report, CBS Sports’ Garrett Podell noted that, “Wagner now has 14 consecutive seasons (2012-25) with 100-plus tackles, which is tied for the longest such streak since 2000 along with London Fletcher (20-13). “

CBS Sports’ Garrett Podell added, “The Dallas Cowboys still lack a green dot, middle linebacker entering the 2025 NFL Draft. Even if a rookie draft pick becomes the eventual starter, having a future Hall of Famer to mentor the next generation at the position would be ideal for Dallas…”

However, the Dallas Cowboys have stayed away from speculations as many teams keep an eye on Bobby Wagner, including the Commanders.

While Bobby Wagner’s one year deal with the Washington Commanders has expired, it seems the team is keen on resigning another deal with him soon.

A few days ago, as per ESPN, the Dallas Cowboys’ coach, Dan Quinn said, “We would never shut the door on [Wagner]...”

He added, “We do feel like there’s some players that are about to take off at [his] position. He’s like the most remarkable player and leader. We’re going to leave the door open, and we’ll see what that looks like over the time ahead.”

But nothing has been confirmed yet as Bobby Wagner continues to remain a free agent

Over the last few seasons, Bobby Wagner has impressed everyone with his dominating performance on the field.

At 35 years old, Bobby Wagner recorded 162 total tackles (79 solo), 4.5 sacks, and 2 interceptions

In the regular season finale, Bobby Wagner shocked everyone as he reached 2,000 career tackles becoming the third player in the history of the NFL to achieve this.

Back in 2024, in his first season with the Washington Commanders, Bobby Wagner earned his 10th Pro Bowl and was named Second-Team All-Pro.

For now, all eyes are on where Bobby Wagner ends up for the new season as he continues to dominate the field.
