The Minnesota Vikings may have found themselves in the middle of fresh NFL trade rumors just days after wrapping up rookie minicamp plans. Minnesota already boasts one of the league’s top receiver duos with Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison. Still, questions remain about the team’s depth behind them heading into the 2026 season.


That conversation picked up steam when Vikings Territory’s analyst, Dustin Baker, floated a possible trade idea involving a veteran Cleveland Browns receiver, Jerry Jeudy. The proposal drew attention because Minnesota still lacks a proven third option behind Jefferson and Addison.

The idea centres around Jerry Jeudy, who signed a three-year, $52.5 million extension with the Cleveland Browns after arriving from the Denver Broncos in 2024. Baker suggested the Vikings should consider offering a fifth or sixth-round pick to land the former Pro Bowler.

“Jeudy is slated to earn just over $10 million in 2026, a figure that appears to be a bargain for a receiver of his caliber,” Baker wrote in Vikings Territory on May 3 while discussing possible offseason targets for Minnesota.

Minnesota’s draft approach also added fuel to the discussion. The Vikings ignored the receiver position during the 2026 NFL Draft despite carrying limited experience behind their top two stars. The front office instead focused heavily on defense before later adding offensive depth at running back, fullback, and center.


Right now, second-year receiver Tai Felton projects as the team’s WR3. He played all 17 games last season but managed only three catches for 25 yards. That stat line explains why outside additions continue to surface in trade talks tied to the Minnesota Vikings. Plus, the Vikings lost Jalen Nailor to the Las Vegas Raiders this free agency, which means Felton needs to step up.


Meanwhile, Jeudy still remains one of the more intriguing names on the market, even if the Cleveland Browns have shown no public interest in moving him. He finished the 2025 season with 50 catches for 602 yards and two touchdowns despite shaky quarterback play. In 2024, he broke out with 90 receptions and 1,229 yards, earning his first Pro Bowl nod.


That fit naturally grabs attention around the league. A sharp route runner alongside Jefferson and Addison could force defences into impossible matchups. Still, no active talks between the Minnesota Vikings and the Cleveland Browns have surfaced so far.
