Giving a heads-up to the Pittsburgh Steelers, who weren’t acting on acquiring defensive tackle Javon Hargrave from the San Francisco 49ers.
Javon Hargrave’s NFL career started with the Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers had picked him up in the third round of the 2016 NFL draft. In the three seasons that Hargrave was with the Steelers, he accumulated 168 tackles and 14.5 sacks. Defensive tackle Javon Hargrave had even managed to sack Tom Brady, former quarterback for the New England Patriots when he had the Duke. Hargrave then went to the Philadelphia Eagles, where he helped the team enter the Super Bowl LVII against the Kansas City Chiefs. Defensive tackle Javon Hargrave had always been a valuable asset.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are struggling on defense. On December 25, 2024, the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers by a depressing 29-10 score at Acrisure Stadium. The Steelers further suffered at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles in the wildcard round with a disappointing score of 27-13. Safety DeShon Elliott even admitted back then, “I don’t know where we went down the line from being the defense we were, but we’ve got to get back to being who we are.” This ‘going back to who they were’ involved a former Steelers, Javon Hargrave. Unfortunately, defensive tackle Javon Hargrave belongs to the Minnesota Vikings now.
