The revamp has been done and the Dallas Cowboys are all set for 2025 after moving on from Mike McCarthy, a hard decision perhaps.

The major reshuffle came after five seasons, where McCarthy and general manager Jerry Jones mutually decided to part their ways for their own benefits.

The decision was taken closely before the expiration of McCarthy’s contract. News has been predicted that Brian Schottenheimer is on their cards and the next pick to replace McCarthy.

“Mike is an incredible coach,” Brian Schottenheimer says ahead of the Dallas revamp

Ahead of his first NFL lead, Schottenheimer, when asked about his views for joining as the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, he said, “Mike is an incredible coach.”

He further describes Mike and his contribution towards Dallas. “I’ll put my fingerprint on [the Cowboys], for sure, but Mike is an awesome coach. Mike and Jerry [Jones] had a lot of hard conversations and it ended up not working out.”

“But I will never talk about Mike McCarthy in any way but hold him in the highest regard. He’s one of my best friends in football. An amazing coach, an amazing mentor to me. And he’ll be back on the sidelines before too long,” Schottenheimer said.

Giving a glimpse of the past, McCarthy hired Schottenheimer to his staff as an analyst during the year 2022. He was then promoted as offensive coordinator under McCarthy’s leadership.

Schottenheimer’s praises for Mike may raise a question for the Cowboys fan because it looks he is highly influenced by Mike McCarthy leaving a mark on the Cowboys.

McCarthy has a record of 174-112-2 and is 11-11 overall during the postseason. This also includes the Green Bay Packers. He bagged as the 12th winning coach for the Dallas Cowboys in the regular season.

Jerry Jones, the team owner, declared the injuries derailed quarterback Dak Prescott, who was suffering from a hamstring injury in Week 9 of the game.

There are many more who suffered apart from Dak Prescott, such as linebacker Micah Parsons, defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence, receiver Brandin Cooks and linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, etc, who missed throughout.
