Jamie Dukes, who played ten seasons in the NFL, shared his thoughts during a recent episode of the 4th and Favre podcast, released earlier this week.

The show is hosted by former NFL quarterback Brett Favre and focuses on football and life around the game. “That’s their fault,” Jamie Dukes said, talking about how fans treat NFL stars.

“You have to put people in perspective. These are players that are humans… they just have a particular skill.”

Jamie Dukes explained that most players take pride in doing the right thing. He said many athletes grow up wanting to make their families proud.

“There are players such as myself and others who had the goal, ‘I’m not going to embarrass my mama… I’m not going to embarrass my dad,’” Jamie Dukes said.

“99.9% of the players are good with that.” But he also made it clear that the small number who make bad choices hurt everyone.

According to Jamie Dukes, when serious allegations surface, the damage spreads fast. It affects families, locker rooms, fan trust, and the image of the whole league.

His message was direct. NFL stars should not get free passes. Fans should not treat players like heroes who can do no wrong. He said real respect comes from holding people accountable.

The comments came after new accusations involving Rashee Rice appeared online earlier this week.

His ex-girlfriend, Dacoda Nichole Jones, shared posts on social media showing bruises and damaged property. She claimed she suffered abuse over several years.

While she did not directly name Rashee Rice, she said the accusations involved the father of her two children.



After the posts spread, the Kansas City Chiefs released a statement saying the team is aware of the situation and is in contact with the NFL.

The league also confirmed the matter will be reviewed under its personal conduct policy.

Dacoda Nichole Jones also claimed some incidents happened during pregnancy and said they took place in Overland Park, Kansas, and Dallas, Texas.

Front Office Sports reported that police responded to a call at Rashee Rice’s home in 2024, but no report was filed.

This situation follows Rashee Rice’s legal trouble last year in Dallas. In 2024, he pleaded guilty to two felony charges tied to a street-racing crash and later paid a reported $1 million settlement to victims. He also received a six-game suspension.

NFL insider Mike Florio has said that if the new claims are proven, Rashee Rice could face major punishment as a repeat offender. The Chiefs now must decide how to move forward.
