Barrett makes a little surprising reversal decision having announced recently that he intends to retire from the game; however, it is evident the competitive spirit and love for his game has not faded. Thefire that made him one of the top linebackers in the NFL remains burning, and it seems like he is now willing to give himself another opportunity to light his career back again. With experience and proven ability for making plays, his return undoubtedly brings much value to any team that picks him up.
Miami Dolphins Own His Rights
Currently, the Miami Dolphins have the upper hand over what the future holds for Barrett. They re-signed him for a year in March, so if Barrett is reinstated by the NFL, Miami would get rights to bring him back to their team. This really helps Miami since adding Barrett to their team would strengthen their defense highly. With leadership, pass-rushing, and years of experience under his belt, Barrett would definitely make a real impact in helping the Dolphins' defense soar to new heights.
