The allegations immediately gained traction because Cardi B and Diggs had only recently sparked public reunion rumours. According to PEOPLE on May 11, Cardi attended Diggs’ Mother’s Day event in Washington, where the pair appeared affectionate throughout the evening.

The report also noted that Diggs later shared a video from the event on Instagram thanking mothers who attended, while Cardi liked the post shortly after. Earlier in April, Diggs attended Cardi’s “Little Miss Drama Tour” stop in Washington, D.C., before the pair were later spotted leaving an afterparty together.
