Within minutes of the final whistle, hundreds of private jets began preparing for departure, creating a dramatic late-night air traffic rush across the Bay Area. Aviation experts described it as one of the largest private flight surges linked to a single event in 2026, showing how the Super Bowl has grown into a global spectacle that stretches far beyond football.

As soon as the game ended, private planes began taking off from nearby airports. Within just a few hours, many business jets had already left. Airports like San Jose Mineta International Airport, San Francisco International Airport and Oakland International Airport were extremely busy.



Reports show that dozens of private jets departed almost at the same time. The rush started shortly after the confetti fell at the stadium. Many wealthy fans, celebrities, business leaders and VIP guests did not wait long before heading home.

Some well-known names were Kim Kardashian, who’s private jet reportedly flew back to Los Angeles soon after the game. Jay-Z and Beyoncé were also said to have left the area not long after the final whistle. Popular destinations included Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
