The Atlanta Falcons’ playoff hopes are on the line as Kirk Cousins continues to struggle

The Atlanta Falcons are going through a confusing, frustrating and stressful time currently. Many might think that Kirk Cousins is the black sheep in the team, pulling it down. He is injured and has not been able to throw a touchdown since the early weeks of November. Cousins has also not been able to throw 6 interceptions in the last 2 matches. The downfall of such a star player is concerning but he is not the only reason for Atlanta Falcon’s current miserable state. Currently, there are many rumours that say the Atlanta Falcons would probably trade Kirk Cousins during the offseason and might replace him with rookie Michael Penix Jr if Cousins is unable to perform and make the Atlanta Falcons enter the NFL Playoffs this season. On the other hand, there are also many discussions on the Las Vegas Raiders eyeing Cousins as a replacement for Aidan O'Connell's who injured his knee in Week 14 and has sustained a season ending injury.

The Falcons’ offense side has been experiencing a lot of problems which includes poor coordination amongst players as well as poor communication. Even though the Atlanta Falcons do have high chances of making it to the NFL playoffs, it is only possible if Kirk Cousins gets back his momentum and commitment towards the team.
