Tom Brady sends honest message after Maxx Crosby deal fails as Klint Kubiak starts uncertain Raiders journey

Tom Brady has finally spoken about the current situation inside the Las Vegas Raiders, and his message was clear and honest. After a week full of headlines, including a failed trade involving Maxx Crosby and questions around new head coach Klint Kubiak, Brady admitted the team is still far from where it wants to be.

He shared his thoughts while speaking to reporters after the Fanatics Flag Football Classic. When asked about both his role and the Crosby situation, Brady focused more on the bigger picture. He did not go deep into details but made it clear that the franchise is still building and figuring things out step by step.

Brady kept his message simple but meaningful. He said, “We certainly have a long way to go. It’s always, I think process over outcomes, and I think we’re all trying.”

He added, “And all of us in our own role that we have and the role that we have, and whether it’s an ownership role or a personnel department or strength conditioning and athletic training, and obviously players and positions and offense defense, everyone’s got to come together, and everyone has to work incredibly hard for the people next to them.”

His comments came after a failed deal that could have changed the team’s future. The Raiders had agreed to send Crosby to Baltimore for two first-round picks, including the No. 14 pick this year and another in 2027. But the deal was called off after the Ravens reviewed his medical reports.

Interestingly, Brady did not answer follow-up questions about the trade. Reporters tried to bring it back up, but the topic quickly shifted. This left many questions unanswered about what really happened behind the scenes.

Brady also spoke briefly about his role with the team. He mentioned learning from Robert Kraft and now working alongside Mark Davis. Still, he did not explain what he actually does on a daily basis.

At the same time, the Raiders are adjusting to a new setup. General manager John Spytek and coach Klint Kubiak have just completed their first free agency period together. One of their new signings, wide receiver Jalen Nailor, described Kubiak as quiet but impactful when he speaks.

For now, the team keeps Crosby, which is a big relief on defense. But they also lose valuable draft picks that could have helped fix other weak areas. That leaves the Raiders in a mixed position as they move forward.
