In a way, it's symbolic of a total divorce from his football life as he joins Sotheby's to sell relics from his past. Two of them feature items in a collection called "The GOAT Collection: Watches and Treasures from Tom Brady." Included in that catalog are his game-worn jersey from the 2000 Orange Bowl. There, he quarterbacked the Wolverines to a 35-34 win while wearing the blood-stained uniform that he plans to release on the market.

Tom Brady will be hosting a Sotheby's auction called GOAT Collection: Watches & Treasures from Tom Brady on December 10, 2024. Items from his NFL career as well as his personal watch collection will be sold during this auction. Among those being auctioned is the jersey that he wore at the Orange Bowl in the year 2000 playing for the University of Michigan; that piece is estimated to be sold between $150,000 and $250,000.
"Orange Bowl jersey is particularly special to me," Brady told Sotheby's. "This win and performance springboarded me into a 23-year NFL career, now broadcasting and hopefully NFL ownership. Looking back, this was the defining moment in my college career.”
The auction offers fans a chance to own items from Brady's career, including a Tampa Bay Buccaneers jersey from his record-setting game in October 2021. The piece is expected to fetch between $400,000 and $600,000. This auction celebrates Brady's legacy both on and off the field. The auction features Brady's personal Rolex watches, including a Rolex Daytona, expected to fetch up to $900,000.
The collection also includes Brady's 2002 Pro Bowl jersey, valued between $250,000 and $500,000. It also includes a modified helmet from his 2020 season, adapted due to COVID-19 restrictions, a makeshift piece from his New England days.
