Travis Kelce addresses the 'Tayvoodoo' phenomenon that NFL fans claim is boosting the Chiefs' dominance this season

Famous brothers Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce take their favorite sports flicks for a spin in the "New Heights" podcast episode. While Jason picked the basketball team from Space Jam in 1996, Travis went with the baseballers from Major League, which was released in 1989. The brothers also mentioned other films such as Space Jam, Major League, and maybe some of their personal favorites.

This phrase "Tayvoodo" was a product of Swift's fan club suggesting they probably bruise any of the pop megastar's spectators to tragedy. The fans have also credited the "Tayvoodoo" with the NFL victories registered by Chiefs.

Travis Kelce addressed the rumored 'Tayvoodoo' theory among NFL fans

Travis Kelce addressed the rumored theory among NFL fans that something about the success of the Kansas City Chiefs went beyond skill, which has now been dubbed as "Tayvoodoo," for which the influence of Taylor Swift as a paranormal force over the team has been attributed to. On a recent episode of the New Heights podcast, co-hosted with his brother Jason Kelce, the Chiefs' tight end could not hold his tongue on the speculation.

“Rookie of the Year, there’s so many good ones. Angels in the Outfield. I’d love to f—-ing feel what it’s like,” Travis said of the 1994 film, which follows a losing baseball team who begins a winning streak with the help of an angel. Jason interjected, “I feel like you guys [the Kansas City Chiefs] are the Angels in the Outfield. There’s some unknown like …” The former Philadelphia Eagles center stopped himself and began laughing. “Here you go with this f–ing Tayvoodoo s–t again,” Travis said. “This dude is such a d–khead.”

With 11 wins and an incredible 1 loss, the Chiefs have now had 14 straight games decided by one score. The secret to their success is attributed to consistency, leadership, and, of course, fans who want Taylor Swift to have been photographed sitting at a Kelce game during the season. If that keeps up, then they could become the first team to get three in a row. This has been the year for age as Kelce has had a really strong season with 75 receptions, 637 yards, and two touchdowns. Earlier this year, he signed a two-year extension worth $34 million, basically cementing his spot right up in the conversation among the top tight ends in the league.

Launched in March 2023, Taylor Swift's Eras Tour has grossed over a billion dollars and is among the top earners in history for a concert tour. Hardly anyone saw it coming, but Swift did show up for several Chiefs games and provided some fun to their season. While her impact remains to be determined as per approval, she brought a whole lot of buzz.

The Chiefs have five games left in the general season, including prominent ones against the Chargers and Steelers, and a Christmas Day match with the Texans. The Chiefs' fan base lies divided among those who claim superiority due to sheer ability, their phenomenal grit or a sprinkle of magic dust from Taylor Swift, as Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift remain the most famous couple in football today.
