The said clip was forwarded by Margo Martin, a staffer for Trump campaign, as an example of the divided atmosphere within the stadium. Another fan tries to calm down the situation by confronting the person committing the two-fingered salute.

More footage and an Associated Press photo revealed that at least one more fan in the crowd flipped Trump the bird during the game. On his Truth Social website, Trump claimed to have thanked Steelers fans for the warm reception he received, though it was clear that his attendance was contentious. He was a guest of an unknown suite holder at the event.

The year prior, he received similar mixed reactions to his visit at an Iowa vs. Iowa State game when he received some boos and cheers from college football fans. A pro-Trump X account was called out for allegedly cutting down the clip that showed the amount of boos from the crowd.
