Justin Tucker spent has spent many years being known for one thing: reliability. For NFL fans, he was the kicker who rarely missed and stayed calm in the biggest moments. In recent years, though, attention has shifted away from the field and toward his personal life. As headlines changed, many fans began asking a simple question. Who is the woman who has been by his side through it all.
That woman is Amanda Bass Tucker. While Justin’s career placed him in the public eye, Amanda has always chosen a quieter path. Their relationship began long before fame, contracts, or controversy. It started during college and grew through years of shared life, family, and private support.

Who is Justin Tucker’s wife and how their relationship began long before the NFL

Justin and Amanda met in 2008 during freshman orientation at the University of Texas at Austin. At the time, Justin was a young football player still trying to find his footing. The two connected early and dated throughout college, building a relationship before Justin ever became an NFL star.
Years later, Justin looked back on those early days and how Amanda viewed his football journey. “Amanda didn’t really care that I was low on the football totem pole at the time,” he told Chesapeake Family Life in September 2018. After five years together, Justin proposed to Amanda in the fall of 2013. The proposal took place at the Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore and included a surprise performance by the band All Time Low. The couple married on March 28, 2015, at Ma Maison in Dripping Springs, Texas. Several NFL players attended, including Joe Flacco and Jeremy Zuttah, along with members of All Time Low.
In May 2016, Justin and Amanda welcomed their son, Easton Hayes Tucker. Fatherhood quickly became central to Justin’s life. In 2024, he described himself as a “dad first,” adding that “football is just something we all get to enjoy together.” He later shared how special it was watching his son meet Ravens players, saying, “I don’t even know if I’m my own son’s favorite player,” before describing moments in the locker room that meant a lot to their family.
Amanda has always kept a low profile. She does not maintain public social media accounts and avoids media attention. In one interview, she spoke about family values and shared responsibility at home. “We are very lucky that both of our parents were always involved in our lives growing up and are so supportive,” she said. “My mom and dad shared responsibilities in the parenting and we are doing the same - I think Justin changes more diapers than I do!”
That privacy became even more important in 2025, when Justin was accused of inappropriate sexual behavior by multiple massage therapists. He denied the allegations, saying they “are unequivocally false.” He later added, “For the sake of myself and my family, I cannot allow false claims to go unchallenged. These allegations are false and incredibly hurtful to both me and, more important, my family.”
Amanda publicly supported her husband during that time, saying, “The false allegations against Justin have caused so much hurt to our family. I believe my husband and I love and support him fully.”
The NFL investigation is ongoing, and the Ravens released Tucker in May 2025.
Known for avoiding attention, Amanda has focused on family and stability, standing by her husband while keeping their private life largely out of the public eye.
