"Who the f**k cares…": Jason Kelce slams World Series, says baseball "s**ks" on podcast with Travis Kelce; angry MLB fans react

Jason Kelce shared his unfiltered thoughts during a recent episode of the “New Heights” podcast, which he hosts alongside his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. The discussion turned to the 2025 World Series, and the former Philadelphia Eagles star didn’t hold back about his feelings on the championship matchup between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays.

Even as fans across Canada celebrated the Blue Jays’ tough effort in a thrilling Game 7, Jason was rather unimpressed. He pointed to the massive spending by both teams as a reason baseball “sucks,” arguing that money often outweighs merit in determining the outcome, even in one of the most exciting World Series finales in recent memory. While Jason Kelce remains critical of the Dodgers’ spending approach, Travis appreciated the drama and competition, capturing the essence of what makes baseball thrilling.

Discussing the World Series, Jason Kelce didn’t mince words. He said, “You’re telling me I’m supposed to get excited about a Canadian baseball team and a team that just spends more money than everybody else? Who the f**k cares about either? Both of them spend more money than everybody else… That’s why baseball s**ks. That’s why baseball sucks, you just buy World Series championships. It’s the dumbest thing in the world.”
According to Spotrac, the Dodgers’ 2025 payroll topped $350 million, the highest in Major League Baseball, after key offseason additions like Blake Snell, Roki Sasaki, Kirby Yates, Tanner Scott, and re-signing stars including Clayton Kershaw and Teoscar Hernandez.
Jason’s strong opinion quickly drew reactions from fans. One user on X said, “The first time Jason Kelce has ever disappointed me.” Another added, “Jason with the HUGE L take here. He tried to form an argument, somewhere in that incoherent mess, but it fell apart. Good try tho.” Yet another chimed in, “I don’t even like baseball, and I think that final game was more exciting than any game played by the Eagles this year.”
Travis Kelce, on the other hand, praised the intensity and excitement of the seven-game series. “Just because the Phillies didn’t make it doesn’t mean the World Series wasn’t absolutely epic. That was an awesome seven games of f****** baseball, man. It was back and forth. Yeah, both teams had their shining moments,” he said, offering a sharp contrast to his brother’s critique.
Now, the Dodgers set their sights on a possible three-peat in 2026, aiming to join the exclusive club of MLB teams that have won three or more consecutive World Series titles.
