WWE’s Triple H Warns Eagles Star Quinyon Mitchell for Risky Celebration After Playoff Win – Is the Pedigree Too Dangerous for the NFL

The Philadelphia Eagles secured a 22-10 victory over the Green Ba... Read More
It was a night for the ages as the Philadelphia Eagles dominated the Green Bay Packers in the wild-card round, winning 22-10. However, corner Quinyon Mitchell stole the victory late in the fourth quarter with the game-clinching interception. Although his post-play celebration was interesting, it attracted the attention of the WWE legend Triple H, who gave a friendly warning to the Eagles.

Mitchell's "Pedigree" Celebration Caught by Triple H

After Mitchell sealed the game with a critical interception, he celebrated in WWE style, delivering Triple H's iconic finishing move, "The Pedigree," on teammate Cooper DeJean. The move wasn't exactly polished, but it sure turned heads.

Not long after, Triple H—real name Paul Levesque—took to X (formerly Twitter) to send the Eagles a cheeky warning:

"There's a reason we say 'Don't try this at home'…congrats on the win Quinyon & @Eagles!"

Luckily, both Mitchell and DeJean were fine and didn't get hurt, but Triple H's joking warning reminded everyone of the risks involved.

Eagles Coach Nick Sirianni Sees Room for Improvement

Even though the win was pretty much secured, Eagles coach Nick Sirianni wasn't happy. After the game, he said the team needs to work on making fewer mistakes.

“We’ve got to correct this tape,” Sirianni said after the game, via FanSided. “We have things we have to get better from, from this tape. If we play on a Saturday, then their day off has to be tomorrow. We’ll find a way to get their corrections to them and review that on Tuesday.

"But if we play on Sunday, we’re coming back to work, we’re going to get our lift in, we’re going to correct the errors we made as coaches, and we made errors as players.”

Eagles Defence and Offence Shine

The Eagles' defense was sharp, allowing only 212 passing yards with three interceptions from Packers quarterback Jordan Love. On offense, Jalen Hurts played cautiously and preserved momentum with 131 passing yards and two touchdowns without any turnovers. Saquon Barkley ran effectively for 119 yards.

The next game for the Eagles will be against the winner of the Vikings vs. Rams matchup this Sunday, Jan. 19, at 3 p.m. ET.

The Eagles might have been dancing with a little WWE flair, but that wild-card win did bring out some weaknesses to be developed. With Coach Sirianni telling the team to step up their game, things should be much sharper in the next round.
