Matthews described his encounters with reporters, which included his interaction with TSN reporter Mark Masters, as a "pretty neat" experience because of his connection with Larkin, who has been his friend for many years. Matthews recognized their limited living space, yet he demonstrated that their shared time between meals and free periods at work created distinct team experiences.

Hedman explained that “I don’t think I’ve had a roommate for over 12 years in the NHL…Combined 70 years old in there. We pretty much grew up together on the national team stage. I first got to know him when I was maybe 13 or 14, and now we’re 35 and living together once again in a dorm.”

Wednesday marks the start of Sweden's tournament, which will see Nylander take on an essential role in the team's scoring efforts.
