Evander Kane Was Accused Of Bringing A Fake Vaccination Card And Was Completely Suspended By The NHL For 21 Games

In 2021 at the time of peak COVID, the star player was accused of "violation of, and lack of compliance with, the NHL/NHLPA COVID-19 protocols". As per reports, the star player was accused of bringing a fake COVID-19 vaccination card when he reported to the training camp for San Jose Sharks.

This was a disastrous move by Evander Kane and led to his suspension from 21 games in the National Hockey League. Once Evander Kane completed his suspension period and stayed out of 21 games, his team back then, the San Jose Sharks placed him on waiver and reassigned him to San Jose Barracuda of AHL.

When Evander Kane was asked about being suspended by his team, the San Jose Sharks and by the NHL for 21 games, he said, “You’ll have to refer to the NHL statement they put out about … the suspension. I served my time, did my 21 games, and now I’m back.”

He also spoke about being accused of bringing a fake vaccination card and said, “You know what, I’m fully vaccinated and that’s really all I have to say about it.”

But things did not really end there for the star player. In January 2022, there were reports that his team, the San Jose Sharks would be terminating his contract and at that time, his current team, the Edmonton Oilers signed him for a one year deal with the team.

It is also in the same year that Evander Kane’s ex wife had accused him of betting on NHL games and he was investigated by the league and was declared innocent.
