Aleksander Barkov feels confident about the preparations ahead of the finaleThe
Florida Panthers are all set to compete against the Edmonton Oilers in the Stanley Cup finale. The captain of the Panthers,
Aleksander Barkov, is confident about the team being prepared to secure the second trophy in a row. Back in the 2024 finale, the Panthers and the Oilers had competed for the trophy, but this year, Game 1 will be played in Edmonton, while last year it had taken place in Florida. However, this does not seem to affect the spirits of the Panthers.
Commenting on the high spirits of the team, captain Aleksander Barkov said, “Ready to go, for sure.” He also added, “We’ve been waiting for a little bit here. Obviously, it was nice to get a couple of days off, stay in Florida for a little bit, not to think about anything, but now it starts to feel like, alright, let’s get it going.”
Another challenge that awaits the Panthers, apart from strong opponents such as
Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, is that if the match advances to Game 7, the final match will be hosted by the Oilers. Commenting on the same, Barkov said, “It’s a great challenge for us. We all know how great they are, how great of a team they are, how they play. So we have to be ready right from the start and that’s what we’re working at right now.”
