NEW DELHI: Indian rower Balraj Panwar concluded his Paris Olympics campaign with a 23rd-place finish in the men's single sculls event, achieving his best timing of 7:02.37 in the Final D round on Friday.

The 25-year-old from Haryana was the sole representative of India in rowing at the Paris Games.
Panwar finished fifth in the Final D round, which is not a medal round. Earlier in the competition, he secured fifth place in his quarterfinals heat race on Tuesday.
Balraj had advanced to the quarterfinals after finishing second in his repechage round race on Sunday. Prior to that, he finished fourth in his initial heat race on Saturday to qualify for the repechage round.
Medals in the men's single sculls event are awarded to the top three finishers in Final A.
