Novak Djokovic nears 100th ATP title after reaching final in Geneva
Novak Djokovic advanced to the final of the Geneva clay-court tournament on Friday, defeating Cameron Norrie in a three-set match 6-4, 6-7 (6/8), 6-1, putting him one victory away from achieving his 100th ATP title. The 24-time Grand Slam champion is seeking to join Jimmy Connors and Roger Federer as the only players to reach this milestone.
The 38-year-old Serbian star, who recently parted ways with coach Andy Murray, secured his spot in Saturday's final against Poland's Hubert Hurkacz.

"It was the toughest match of the tournament for me so far, three sets," Djokovic said. "(In) the second set, he was a break up and I managed to come back to the tie-break, (I had) a match point, I got a little bit tight there. But I'm really glad how I regrouped in the third and played the best set of the tournament."
This marks Djokovic's first tournament since winning Olympic gold in Paris last summer, and he appears to be finding his rhythm after losing his previous two clay-court matches this season.
In Friday's match, Djokovic claimed the first set by breaking Norrie's serve in the seventh game. Despite falling behind 5-2 in the second set, he fought back to force a tie-break but missed a match point as Norrie extended the match to a deciding set.
Djokovic dominated the final set, racing to a 3-0 lead while dropping just one point in those games. He sealed his victory on his second match point after winning another three consecutive games.
His opponent in the final, Hubert Hurkacz, defeated Austrian Sebastian Ofner 6-3, 6-4 to reach his first final since losing to Jannik Sinner in Halle last June.
The tournament serves as Djokovic's preparation for the French Open, where he will begin his campaign for a fourth Roland Garros title and record-extending 25th Grand Slam singles championship against American Mackenzie McDonald in the first round.
